Long queues of people in front of petrol stations due to lack of fuel supply

by time news

Due to fuel shortages and lack of fuel supply, long queues of people can be seen waiting in front of many petrol stations across the country.

Many gas stations have been closed due to unavailability of fuel.

The Ceylon Petroleum Private Carrier (Blazer) Owners Association has started a strike from Saturday.

Following this, the Lanka Indian Fuel Company Tower (Bowser) Owners Association also boycotted fuel transport services from midnight yesterday in support of the union action.

However, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera stated that steps are being taken to distribute the fuel.

He noted that trains and state-owned vehicles are used for this distribution.
