Washington – Long-time former US Senator and former Republican presidential candidate Bob Dole is dead. His family announced that he died on Sunday at the age of 98. Dole was one of the political heavyweights of the Conservative Party in the 1980s and 1990s. In the 1996 presidential election, he lost out to Democratic incumbent Bill Clinton. He represented the state of Kansas in the US Senate for almost three decades.
