The patients attacked that for four months there have been no basic mental health medications, including amitriptyline, adepsique, methylphenidate and lithium carbonate, used for conditions such as bipolar disorder, depression, among others.

At the event, the complainants carried banners with different legends, among them, “Mental health care is a human right,” while López-Gatell participated in the dialogue “Recovery of the public in health and well-being.”
For his part, the official pointed out that he considered the plaintiffs’ protest valuable, and that he has listened carefully to their requests, in addition, he stressed that it is a human need to deal with these conditions.
“If your issue, however important and legitimate it is, overshadows the issue of [quienes están presentes], it means that you are arrogating the representativeness of the whole world, and I do not consider it fair. So, I ask you for respect, ”she said.
Other protesting groups included anti-vaccination, teachers and teachers who asked to omit the use of face masks or sanitary measures. Some of them asked Gatell to accept that “there was never a pandemic.”
“From my point of view, it is very valid to have knowledge controversies, as a person I do not have convincing information about their cause, but I think it is very valid that there are groups that question whether everything is already resolved,” the official replied.
