The President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, expressed his solidarity this Friday with the left-wing governments of Latin America and mentioned in particular the case of Argentina, since he warned that the economic crisis it is suffering is the responsibility of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and of former president Mauricio Macri.
“Why is the crisis so deep? Because in complicity with international financial organizations, Mr. Macri’s government borrowed Argentina, but without limit,” López Obrador told assess the problems now facing his Argentine counterpart, Alberto Fernández, whom he described as his brotherreported the RT news network.
“For political reasons, the United States government helped the IMF to deliver excess money to the Macri government because he wanted to be re-elected and he was a friend of the United States. “There is tremendous control and a lot of manipulation. That is why they are undermining popular democratic governments until they destroy them politically. It is a media attack, it is what works best for corrupt conservatives,” he said.
The president made this assessment of what is happening in the region after being questioned about the complaints against the Colombian Gustavo Petro and the massive marches that his supporters held this week in support of the leftist president’s social reforms.
“I support him. He is a great president of Colombia, brother of Mexico.
