After the National Consumer Service (Sernac) will officiate L’Oréal Chile S.A to report on the claims submitted by users on social media, the company responded to complaints of hair loss.
Through a public statement, the company ruled out that its shampoo, in its version Hyaluronic Hydrawill be related to the adverse effects presented by consumers.
“We are aware of certain statements made on social networks that associate our Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic line with hair loss. We understand the concern this may generate and we want reaffirm that at L’Oréal, the safety and quality of our products are our top priority”, the document begins by saying.
“This is why since the beginning of these rumors We carry out various quality and safety tests under strict standards in all cases officially reported in our consumer service channels; and after these laboratory analyses, We want to confirm its compliance with our high quality standards and we rule out its potential relationship with hair loss and scalp diseases.”, they assured.
In relation to the letter presented by Sernac, the company stated that “will collaborate fully with the institutionmaking available all the analyzes that support full safety in its use.”
L’Oréal detailed that its product has maintained the same formula since its launch three years ago, highlighting that “It has been one of the favorite lines of our consumersselling more than 218 million units in Latin America with high levels of satisfaction and repurchase.”
Likewise, he appealed that hair loss is associated with multiple factorssuch as “diet, stress, hormonal changes, seasonal changes, medications, among others”.
For this reason, it recommended to consumers who expressed their dissatisfaction with the product to “consult a specialist to identify the cause of your situationas well as for directions on the best product for your hair and scalp type.”
