The Chilean band Los Bunkers has given its fans some good news. The band has announced that it will have its own MTV Unplugged.

Through their social networks Alvaro and Gonzalo Lopez, Mauricio and Francisco Duran, with Cancamusathe new drummer, shared an image with the logo of the American network’s special.

Although they did not give details of their recording, fans expressed their excitement as they consider that it comes at a good time to show the legacy of the Chileans.

The MTV Unplugged format is characterized by presenting songs in acoustic format, with some exceptions. Latin projects such as Café Tacvba, Santa Sabina, Soda Stereo, Shakira, Maná, Julieta Venegas, among others, have participated in it.

Recently, the group announced in a statement the departure of one of its founders, Mauricio Basualto. This was due to personal issues that led to his departure from the stage on February 1.

In addition, the band makes it clear that the departure was done in a respectful and consensual manner.

“As you know, Mauro has been away from the stage since February 1st of this year due to personal issues. The group appreciates the support and affection given during these months and above all the respect that you have shown in this situation,” reads the document posted on Instagram.
