“Auda” lost 1:3 (0:0) to Kosovo team “Drita” in overtime, losing 2:3 in the sum of two games.
Already in the seventh minute, “Auda” was forced to make a change. In the middle of the second minute, “Audas” defender Tins Hrvoj and home defender Radijs Ovuka collided in the middle of the field in a fight for the ball, and Hrvoj could not continue the game. He was replaced by Olabanjo Ogunji.
In the 43rd minute, “Audas” goalkeeper Krišjānis Zviedris saved two shots from a short distance one after the other, saving the team from losing a goal.
The hosts tried to attack more in the first half, but they also broke the rules more often (14:3).
In the 58th minute, after a corner kick from the right side to the opposite side of the goalkeeper’s area, the corner ball went to Denis Melnik, but his kick flew past the empty left corner of the goal.
After that, the home team missed the goal several times, and “Auda” players started to make mistakes in front of their own goal.

Besniks Krasniki scored an 11-meter kick in the 75th minute, the Swede irresistibly sending the ball into the lower left corner of the goal – 1:0 for the home team.

Less than half a minute had passed in the extra time when, after a long pass and unsuccessful handling of the ball by Ovuka, Mors Tala ran alone with the home goalkeeper Faton Maloka and, without getting close to the goalkeeper, sent the ball into the lower right corner of the goal – 1:1.
In the 95th minute, after a long kick by Lucas Ramos, the ball from Maloku hit the goal post and flew out of the field.
The home team equalized in the 102nd minute after a free kick from the left side of the field. After a pass to the right side of the goalkeeper’s area, one of the “Drit” players headed the ball in front of the goal, from where Ron Broja scored 2:1 for “Drit”.
During the compensation of the first part of the extra time, the ball went into the “Audas” goal again, but immediately four “Drit” players were in the back, and the goal was not counted.
In the 110th minute, the Swede once again saved the team from losing a goal, when Juan Mesa came at him alone and headed into the right corner of the goal.
In the 115th minute, the score became 3:1 in favor of the home team. After Krasniki’s cross from the right side of the field, Alberts Dabikai headed the ball into the left corner of the goal from the middle of the penalty area.
In the first game a week ago, “Auda” won 1:0 at home.
In the first round, “Auda” beat the Faroe Islands team Touršhavnas B36 3-0 in the sum of two games, and in the second they defeated the Northern Ireland team “Cliftonville” 4-1.
“Drita” started the competition from the second round, beating the Icelandic team “Breidablik” of Koupavogur with 3:1 in the sum of two matches.
In the Latvian championship, “Auda”, which last week postponed the game with “Tukums 2000” team, occupies the fourth place in the tournament table with 34 points in 25 matches.
“Drita” will play the first game of the 2024/2025 season in its national championship only on August 19. The Kosovo club has also agreed to postpone the first match, which was planned for August 10, to a later time.
In the previous season, “Drita” finished third.
Last season, “Auda” made its debut in the UEFA European Conference League, losing 2:5 to Slovakian team “Spartak” Trnava in the sum of two matches.
“Drita” is playing in European Cups for the sixth time, reaching the third qualifying round only twice.
The winners entered the “play-off” round, where they will meet “Legia” Warsaw, who defeated Denmark’s “Brondby” 4:3 in the sum of two games, but the European Cup season is over for the losers.
It has already been reported that in the first round of qualification, “Liepāja” lost 1:3 to the Faroe Islands team “Vikingur” from Leirvik, but “Riga” reached the second round, where they lost 2:3 to the Polish team “Ślask” from Wroclaw.
The final of the competition will be held on May 28, 2025 in the Polish city of Wroclaw.
