Louise Fletcherthe actress who played the tyrannical nurse Mildred Ratched in ‘Some one flies over the cuco’s nidus‘ has died this Friday at 88 years of age, as reported by the family.
Fletcher won in 1976 the Oscar for best actress for his performance in the film adaptation of the novel by Ken Kesey, which also earned him international recognition after a film career that until then had been rather discreet. The film also won Oscars for best picture, best director for Milos Formanbest actor for Jack Nicholson and best script.
Born in Birmingham (Alabama, USA) in 1934 and the second of four children, Fletcher began her adventures in the world of acting in the 50s of the last century, fundamentally participating in productions set in the West American.
