Heino and Marie-Jeanette Ferch spent more than 20 years together. Now the actor and the Olympic rider have separated.
Heino and Marie-Jeanette Ferch were previously considered one of the absolute dream couples in the celebrity world. The actor and the professional rider fell in love in 2002 and tied the knot three years later. Three children followed, and their youngest son Karl was born in 2021, making the film star a father again at the age of 58. But now, after 22 years together, their love has broken down.
Heino Ferch’s lawyer, Christian Schertz, confirmed to the “Bild” newspaper that the couple had separated. Schertz stressed that no further statements would be made on this matter and asked that the family’s privacy be respected.
In 2022, Heino Ferch was still raving about his family happiness, a few months after the birth of his son Karl. “The little one is a great blessing for us. He focuses the family on the essentials. That’s totally great,” he said at the time. It is already Ferch’s fourth child. Before he married Marie-Jeanette Ferch, he had a daughter with doctor Julia von Pufendorf. At that time, however, he was still officially in a relationship with actress Suzanne von Borsody. The relationship lasted from 1990 to 1999.
Heino Ferch first gained a foothold in the theater, but then became successful as a film actor at the end of the 1980s. The now 61-year-old has appeared in films such as “Run Lola Run,” “Downfall” and “The Baader Meinhof Complex.”
His wife Marie-Jeanette Ferch is an event rider and even qualified for the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000. The still-married couple shared a passion for equestrian sports; Heino Ferch plays polo. Their daughter Ava is also a show jumper, and her son Gustav also enjoys riding, as the 47-year-old said in an interview with “Reitturniere.de” in 2019.
