Reality TV star Erica Mena found herself in a bit of trouble last weekend when she was arrested in Atlanta. According to police reports obtained by TMZ, the Love & Hip Hop star was involved in a chaotic brawl at a lounge after being asked to leave by security.
The police report details a scene that was much uglier than what was initially reported. One officer describes a physical struggle he was involved in while trying to break up the fight, with Erica allegedly fighting back and even brutalizing security guards. It is claimed that she bit down on a guard’s forearm and kicked another in the face.
In addition to allegedly attacking security guards, Erica also made a claim during the brawl that she was pregnant. However, her lawyer, Drew Findling, has confirmed that this was not true.
“On behalf of Erica Mena (who is not pregnant), we will immediately start investigating the events of August 25, 2023,” Findling told TMZ. “It is clear that this was an incident between citizens, private security and off-duty police officers that was not properly handled or de-escalated.”
The lawyer also pointed out that the police report mentions the officer involved punching a private citizen multiple times and using unnecessary force against Erica.
Three other individuals were also arrested during the incident. Bambi Richardson, Cell Swag, and a mutual friend were all booked for misdemeanor obstruction, as they allegedly tried to prevent officers from restraining Erica.
The exact cause of the brawl is still unknown, but one thing is clear – it ended in quite a mess. As Mena’s lawyer stated, they will be conducting a thorough investigation into the incident to determine the full context and details of what occurred.
