DYFI has many leaders in Kerala who have set a great example of secular marriage. Hon’ble Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan himself has repeatedly stated in the Assembly and in the media that there is no such thing as love jihad in Kerala. It should be taken seriously that established communal interests are trying to construct such issues in the public consciousness.
Comrade Shejin and Joyce Souna are an example of secular married life and a model for progressive youth in the present age where religion is trying to hold extremism in art, politics and all spheres of life. DYFI will provide all possible support to both.
