Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has forecast isolated showers in the state from March 5 to 7 as a result of low pressure. The first low of the year formed in the southeastern Bay of Bengal. The low pressure area moving west-northwest is likely to intensify and move towards the Sri Lankan coast in the next three days. The meteorological department said that the southern states, including Kerala, are likely to experience less heat in March, April and May. The state is likely to receive more than normal rainfall in March and experience below normal temperatures, the statement said.
