We are still in the fight against covid-19. People who have recovered from Covid-19 experience various health problems. These problems are commonly referred to as ‘long covid’. Long-term covid is a set of physical and mental problems that affect people who have recovered from covid 19 infection.

Low sex drive, erectile dysfunction and hair loss are also symptoms of ‘long covid’, the study has now found. This was revealed by a study published in the journal Nature Medicine. 62 symptoms related to long covid were found in the study.

Researchers analyzed electronic primary examination records from more than 450,000 people in England between January 2020 and April 2021. In addition, social and health screening records from 1.9 million people diagnosed with Covid-19 between January 2020 and April 2021 were also analysed.

From this, the team found that people diagnosed with Covid were more likely to report 62 long-term Covid-related symptoms. Only 20 of them are included in WHO’s long-term Covid clinical case definition.
