India reports 28,204 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, the lowest figure in the last five months. According to the bulletin released via Twitter by the Ministry of Health, these are the least worrying numbers for 147 days, since last March 16. In the Asian giant there were also another 373 deaths attributable to the coronavirus and the total number of infections is now close to 32 million (31,998,158) with 428,682 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic.
Across the country, with a population of over 1.3 billion people, there are 388,508 active cases and, according to Ndtv, yesterday for the first time since April 2020 in New Delhi there were fewer than 500 active cases. Yesterday 39 new cases and one death were diagnosed in the capital. In India, 31,180,968 people are declared cured after contracting Covid-19. According to official data, more than 510 million doses of coronavirus vaccines have been administered.
