Lucid Group delivered 3,806 electric vehicles and produced 2,954 units in the third quarter of 2026, dropping production significantly to clear inventory during an operational reset led by CEO Silvio Napoli.
The Arizona-based electric vehicle maker announced its production and delivery totals for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Deliveries declined 6.7% compared with the same period a year earlier, while production dropped 24% year-over-year as the automaker deliberately scaled back manufacturing output.
The third-quarter figures reflect a concerted effort to sell off unsold vehicles that piled up across the first half of the year. Production fell sharply from 4,774 vehicles in the second quarter to 2,954 units, marking the company’s lowest quarterly output since early 2025.
Operational Reset and Cash Flow Targets in Arizona
The third quarter marked the first period since Lucid cut production at its Casa Grande factory in Arizona from two shifts to one. The reduction accompanied a corporate restructuring under Silvio Napoli, who started leading the automaker in June.
The turnaround strategy targets $1.4 billion in cash flow improvements throughout 2026. According to company disclosures from its second-quarter report, those financial goals encompass specific cuts across inventory, capital spending, and operations.

- Approximately $600 million to $800 million tied to vehicle inventory reduction
- About $500 million in capital expenditures
- Roughly $200 million in operating expenses
Shares of Lucid closed up less than 1% on Monday at $4.17 following the release of the third-quarter volume data. The company’s stock value remains down by more than 60% for the year.
Lucid Reduces Inventory by Outpacing Production with Deliveries
Lucid’s strategy of outpacing production with deliveries successfully reduced inventory during the quarter.
In prior periods, production figures took different accounting paths. During the third quarter of 2025, Lucid reported more than 1,000 vehicles built for final assembly in Saudi Arabia separately from its domestic output.
| Period | Vehicles Produced | Vehicles Delivered |
|---|---|---|
| Q3 2025 | 3,891 | 4,078 |
| Q1 2026 | 5,500 | 3,093 |
| Q2 2026 | 4,774 | 3,953 |
| Q3 2026 | 2,954 | 3,806 |
Through the first nine months of the year, Lucid has produced a total of 13,228 vehicles and delivered 10,852. Total year-to-date deliveries sit 3.4% higher than at the same point in 2025, while total production has climbed 33% due to manufacturing ramps earlier in the year. Prior to the operational slowdowns, Lucid reached its highest quarterly production of nearly 7,900 units in the fourth quarter of last year, followed by 5,500 units in the first quarter of this year.
Lucid Gravity Gains Momentum as Air Grand Touring Leads Range
Demand for the Lucid Gravity continued to regain momentum as production throughput normalized at the Arizona facility. Rivian, by comparison, delivered 19,248 vehicles in the third quarter during its R2 ramp.

The Lucid Air Grand Touring holds a 516-mile EPA rating, representing the highest range of any production electric vehicle sold in the United States, driven by an efficiency rate of approximately 24 kWh per 100 miles.
Real-world range testing for the Grand Touring reveals about 430 to 460 miles on highway drives at 70 to 75 mph in 70°F weather, dropping to roughly 360 to 390 miles in cold 30°F highway conditions, and reaching 470 to 490 miles during mixed city and highway commutes. Performance-tier variants include the 819-horsepower Grand Touring achieving a 3.0-second 0-60 sprint, and the separate Sapphire variant delivering 1,234 horsepower with a 1.89-second 0-60 time.
Charging capabilities use a 900V electrical architecture. Home charging rates vary: the optional Lucid Connected Home charger supplies 19.2 kW and requires a 100A circuit.
Out-of-warranty battery replacement costs are estimated between $15,000 and $22,000 based on current industry rates for packs of that capacity.
Wait times for configured Air orders have shortened from 12–16 weeks down to roughly 6–10 weeks depending on selected options. Buyers residing in metropolitan areas with established Lucid studios in California, New York, Texas, and Florida generally experience faster vehicle allocation.
