BILD learned: Lucien Favre (63) is not only a candidate as the new coach at Newcastle United, but now even the favorite! Why is that so explosive?
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (36) has taken over the traditional Northern England club through a consortium. His country is considered to be one of the toughest dictatorships in the world. The “Blood Sheikh” is said to have had a hand in the murder of the Saudi journalist Kashoggi.
With his involvement with the “Magpies” (in English magpies) it becomes one of the richest clubs in the world. Liverpool’s star coach Jürgen Klopp (54) is certain: “It will be a superpower!”
Mt Ex-Hertha, Gladbach and BVB coach Favre? The negotiations are now entering the decisive round. The Portuguese Paulo Fonseca (48), from 2019 to 2021 at AS Roma, should only be second choice.

The previous coach Steve Bruce (60) had left the table penultimate by “mutual agreement”. In the home game against Chelsea, interim coach Graeme Jones (51) sits on the bench.
The new one should be presented in the coming week at the latest. And there is a lot to be said for the Swiss Favre!
