The platense in a training of the week in Christchurch / UAR

Every time a call is projected for any national team, the figure of Lucio Cinti continues to be one of the names chosen to defend the colors of a shirt, which represents neither more nor less than the 600 clubs that constitute the living force of the Argentine rugby.

Cinti was already Youth Olympic champion and bronze medalist in Tokyo 2020

The one born in our city went through the training academies of the Argentine Rugby Union, joined together with his great friend Ignacio Mendy (Los Tilos) Los Pumitas and the Seven team that was consecrated in the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018 , won the bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 with Santiago Gómez Cora’s senior team and with just a couple of games played in the shirt of his beloved La Plata RC, he emigrated to English rugby and joined the traditional London Irish in the capital English, club that participates in the Saxon Premiership.

There he shares a campus with another player from our city: Agustín Creevy. To complete the argentos poker in the Irish, Juan González from Mendoza (see separate) and Facundo Gigena from Córdoba join.

LUCIO’S MATCH YESTERDAY

Cinti was not out of tune yesterday and was one more gear within the solid Albiceleste defensive scheme and put a lock on his lane.

Although surely the most remarkable thing is that being part of that strategy, together with their teammates at the back, not only were they able to stand up against the New Zealand power, but they also fulfilled the task without committing penalties; something that was unusually negative statistics only for the All Blacks.

He stood out little in attack and with less than ten minutes to go, he was replaced by Santiago Cordero, showing signs in his posture after the display on the Orangetheory lawn.

Lucio Cinti continues to grow with the Los Pumas shirt on and at only 22 years old he has already beaten the best team in the world twice, his ceiling seems to be still a long way off and facing what will be the 2023 World Cup in France, he seems to become another of the destinations and challenges that the player from La Plata hopes to be able to fulfill.

For now, he continues to take giant steps within the puma structure and does not want to wake up from this dream that he is having to travel.
