Sometimes we have no idea of the effect of a good word: TV presenter Lucy Ahrish conducted an interview with actress Orna Banai, an interview that was broadcast last Friday on “Olan Shishi” on Channel 12. Besides the exciting interview in itself, Ahrish shared that something else after it made her cry, no less.

Television critic Lior Ben Ami published a review of the interview in Yedioth Ahronoth, in which he praises the structure of the interview and the choice not to enter into the political issue but to let the viewers alone make the connection between Orna Banai’s story and the processes taking place in the country today.

“The first second I opened the message from Ron Yaron, editor of Olpan Shishi, I was sure it was a bad review,” Ahrish wrote on Instagram. “15 years in the profession and I have never received a good review (in the review sections) for what I did on television.”

“Then I read it and it just brought me to tears,” writes Aharish and continues, “because no matter how sure we are of receiving a good word, it is never obvious. And how many good words are all the better.”

Ahrish shares that afterwards the editors of Olpan Shishi Bashi Ketan surprised her: the review in question is framed as a picture. “Working with professionals is a great privilege, but working with people is a gift.”
