The Director of Civil Protection, Luis Amaya, indicated that the green alert will be maintained throughout the Salvadoran territory with the aim of guaranteeing the well-being of the population in the face of climatic conditions.

The head of PROCIVIL indicated that all the necessary measures are being taken with the communal, municipal and departmental commissions for Civil Protection.

The Salvadoran territory so far for any emergency has 100 pre-equipped shelters throughout the country, with the capacity to protect more than 6,000 people.
