The Minister of the Interior, Carolina Tohá, reported this Thursday afternoon that the new Undersecretary of the Interior is the Minister of Justice, Luis Cordero.
“The President has decided to accept this resignation (of Manuel Monsalve) and appoint Luis Cordero, who until now has served as Minister of Justice, as the new Undersecretary of the Interior. Jaime Gajardo (PC), who until now was the undersecretary in that portfolio, will take over the position of the Ministry of Justice,” Tohá indicated, recorded Once upon a time.
Tohá maintained that “We want to point out that, obviously, this has been a difficult day. There are human elements in what has been experienced very strongly, certainly, but our work must continue.”
The minister stressed that “These changes seek to ensure that there are competent people, with knowledge of Government policy, “that they are completely up to date with respect to the definitions that have been taken, the tasks that we have and that they have professional recognition and performance, demonstrated so far, that is beyond any doubt.”
Lamb is lawyer from the University of the RepublicDoctor in Law from the University of Lleida, Master in Public Law from the University of Chile and Master in Public Policies from the University of Chile.
Gajardo, meanwhile, is lawyer of the U. of ChileMaster of Law with a mention in Public Law from the University of Chile; master’s degree in Governance and Human Rights from the Autonomous University of Madrid; master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the Center for Constitutional Studies. In addition, he has a doctorate in Law from the Autonomous University of Madrid.
In her replacement, María Ester Torres takes over as acting undersecretary.head of the Legal Division of the Undersecretary of Justice.
