Luis Pérez Pons, voice of ‘Mr. Krabs’ in ‘SpongeBob’, dies

The dubbing is in mourning. Luis Pérez Ponswho gave life to ‘Mr. Crab‘ in the SpongeBob series, died at 72 years. His family, through their social networks, thanked the expressions of affection towards the Venezuelan actor, who had been ill for several days.

Pons was an institution within Venezuelan dubbing with a 34-year career. From the first season he was in charge of playing ‘Mr. Crab‘, becoming his most beloved voice. There was a time where he was replaced but he ended up returning for seasons 9 through 13.

I’m sorry to see you go, my dear Mr. Krabs. My condolences to your family and friends. May God welcome you with open arms«.
