SÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) – Businesswoman Luiza Trajano will be part of the Economic and Social Development Council, the so-called Conselhão, of the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).

The invitation was made this Friday (3), in a meeting with the Minister of Institutional Relations of the Presidency of the Republic, Alexandre Padilha, and the Secretary of the Council, Paulo Pereira.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Grupo Mulheres do Brasil, which is chaired by Trajano, in São Paulo. The businesswoman made herself available.

Launched during the first Lula administration, the Conselhão brought together representatives from different sectors, such as businessmen and trade unionists, to discuss and suggest measures for the country’s development. Now, the group has been recreated in the PT’s new management.

At this Friday’s meeting, Padilha stated that 40% of the Council will be made up of women – before, they represented 10% of the group.

“We are very happy to be here. In fact, we are recreating the Council, and you are the first ones that we come to invite in person”, said the minister at the meeting.
