Preparations for the next meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State were discussed on January 22 at a meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and the State Secretary of this entity, Dmitry Mezentsev.

“The meeting of the Supreme State Council (the highest body of our Union State) – there is an approximate agenda, let’s say so. Nobody prohibits anyone from making proposals and changes until it is considered and approved, including at a meeting of the Supreme State Council. The priority issue is the implementation of union programs,” Lukashenko’s press service quotes him as saying. – We have always stated that we work well here. The Belarusian politician also said that on the eve of the Supreme State Council meeting it is planned to hold negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin in a one-on-one format.

“We will discuss fundamental issues. If there are any additions to the agenda that has been proposed, we will make such proposals directly at the meeting of the Supreme State Council,” the Belarusian leader said.
