Lukoil has placed two tranches of Eurobonds totaling $ 2.3 billion, Denis Shulakov, first vice president of Gazprombank, one of the organizers of the placement, told Vedomosti.

Shulakov explained that one issue with a volume of $ 1.15 billion was placed for 5.5 years, the other – with a volume of $ 1.15 billion – for 10 years. According to him, this is the largest placement of Lukoil on the international capital markets, which, among other things, exceeded the volume of the issue by $ 1.5 billion for 10 years, placed in April last year at a rate of 3.875%.
Lukoil announced the planned placement of two tranches of Eurobonds with maturities of 5.5 and 10 years on October 18. According to Shulakov, on October 19, when the book was opened, the initial benchmark for the yield of securities was announced at the level of 3-3.125% and 3.75-3.875%, respectively. The final yield was set at 2.8% and 3.6%, respectively.
The placement was attended by investors from the UK, USA, Switzerland, France, Germany and other countries of continental Europe and Asia, as well as Russia, said the first vice president of Gazprombank. International demand accounted for about 80% of the volume of applications.
