Lula government appoints number 2 of the GSI

The Lula government (PT) appointed Ivan de Sousa Corrêa Filho as number 2 of the GSI (Institutional Security Office of the Presidency).

What happened:

Ivan de Sousa Corrêa Filho takes over as Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of the Republic, as anticipated by UOL. The position is the second in importance in the GSI.

The decree was published in today’s edition of the DOU and was signed by acting president Geraldo Alckmin and by the GSI minister, general Amaro.

Corrêa Filho was in the Command of Communications and Electronic Warfare of the Army. Between 2006 and 2008, he was Presidential Security Coordinator.
