President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) makes his first trip to deliver works this Monday (6). Lula is going to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the inauguration of the ophthalmology and diagnosis units at the Super Centro Carioca de Saúde, in Benfica.

In Rio, Lula is yet to announce the resumption of planning for investments in health, including a program to reduce surgery queues. Also participating in the event are Mayor Eduardo Paes (PSD) and Minister of Health, Nísia Trindade.

This is the first time since he resumed the Presidency of the Republic that Lula has gone to the states to inaugurate works.

The president has already visited the cities of Boa Vista (RR) and Araraquara (SP), but both agendas took place in emergency actions. In Roraima, on the occasion of the humanitarian crisis involving the Yanomami, and in Araraquara due to the heavy rains that hit the city in São Paulo.

Lula is also scheduled to visit Bahia, where the president is expected to relaunch the Minha Casa Minha Vida housing program on February 14th. The agenda was confirmed by the chief minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, who governed the state for two terms.

Initially, the program was to be relaunched in January, but it was postponed due to the precarious state of the houses built by the program.
