In an interview in kyiv with seven Latin American media outlets, including Sheet, The President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, expressed his desire to meet with President Lula to listen to the Brazilian’s proposals to end the war promoted by Russia.
He criticized, however, what he called a lack of will and time to meet with him in Japan, at the G7 summit. According to Zelenski, the misunderstanding was not the fault of Ukraine, which contradicts the statements of the Brazilian government.
He also lashed out at Lula for his lack of support for the creation of a special international tribunal to judge crimes of aggression during the war, saying that the Brazilian seeks to be “original” in his proposals.
“Lula wants to be original and we must give him that opportunity. Now, we need to answer some simple questions. Does the president believe that the murderers should be convicted and imprisoned? Will he find time to answer? He did not find time to meet with me, but maybe he will have time to answer that question.”
