Lula’s Ministry cuts Rebeca from the historic photo at the Olympics and generates controversy on the networks

After publishing an image in which the gymnast Rebeca Andrade, the Olympic champion in Paris, was cut, the Ministry of Communications apologized after a series of criticisms for the alleged gaffe.

In the iconic photo, the Brazilian gymnast was admired by Americans Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles. In the assembly, Rebeca was replaced by a device from the federal government’s ‘Computers for Inclusion’ program, created during the administration of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL).

After the criticism, the Ministry launched a new publication, leaving the athlete Rebeca Andrade in her rightful place, at the top of the podium after winning the gold medal.

“THIS IS THE JOB. All of us, in the Ministry of Communications, respect Rebeca Andrade. “Rebeca made every Brazilian man and woman feel honored, but above all, every black Brazilian woman stood together at the top of the podium in image. Rebecca didn’t just enter our history. It IS our story”, the text said.
