Abu Dhabi: The Lulu Group has partnered with the Egyptian government to launch four new hypermarkets in Egypt. The agreement was reached during talks between Lulu Group Chairman MA Yousafzai and Abu Dhabi Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli in Egypt.
Lulu currently has 3 hypermarkets in Cairo. The hypermarkets, which are part of a joint venture, will be operational by the second quarter of 2023. New hypermarkets will open in cities, including the pyramid city of Giza.
Yusufali said e-commerce operations in Egypt would begin next month. Lulu Bahrain-Egypt Director Jusser Rupawala and Regional Director Hussein Qureshi also attended the discussion.
