September 17, Miss Luong Thuy Linh arrived in Cao Bang province, which suffered severe damage from typhoon Yagi. The convoy carried essential supplies including rice, milk, shower gel, cakes, medicines and many other necessary products for the people. The total value of the shipment was over 500 million VND.

During this trip, Luong Thuy Linh worked closely with the Fatherland Front of Cao Bang province to ensure the smooth distribution of necessities. In Nguyen Binh district alone, the locality actively supported the delivery of goods to the most severely affected families. Here, Luong Thuy Linh personally handed out gifts to poor households, asked about their situation and shared some of the people’s losses.
In addition, when she learned more about the situation of orphaned children in Lung Ly commune, Nguyen Binh district, Luong Thuy Linh came to support their families with living expenses. Also here, she was deeply saddened to learn that two children, Trieu Thi Phuong (born in 2013) and Trieu Kim Thanh (born in 2019), were less fortunate because they lost both their parents. Luong Thuy Linh has sponsored the school fees for the two children from now until they are 18 years old with the hope that they can continue their studies. Specifically, the beauty queen will send 24 million VND to support the two children every year until they are adults.

Sharing about her charity trip to her hometown, Luong Thuy Linh was moved: “Before that, I only saw pictures, videos from newspapers and what my mother told me, Linh stopped and felt heartbroken at the desolate scene where she went, Lung Ly was only rocks and soil. There was no more house, no more farming, the road to school was already difficult and now even more precarious, even more heartbreaking was that the people here also lost their loved ones. Observing and Linh thought that the things she brought could make up for some of the material losses, but how could they make up for the spiritual losses. I felt so sorry!”
This trip back to her hometown to provide relief is not only a regular charity activity but also an affirmation of Luong Thuy Linh’s love and responsibility for the land where she was born. Since her coronation, she has always actively participated in community activities and has always paid special attention to Cao Bang – the land she has been attached to since her childhood.

In addition to basic necessities, Luong Thuy Linh also brought 200 boxes of mineral water and 300 coats to support people in the upcoming cold spell. The Northern region, especially the highland provinces such as Cao Bangoften facing harsh winters, so coats will be an extremely necessary and meaningful gift for the people here.
