In search of their eighth FA Cup title, City debuted in the third phase with a 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. Then, in the fourth phase, they beat Tottenham 1-0 with a goal from Nathan Aké, in a game marked by refereeing controversies.
In the Premier League, the Sky Blues beat Bournemouth 1-0 away from home at the weekend. Phil Foden scored the only goal of the game. As a result, the Citizens remain in second place with 59 points, just one point less than leaders Liverpool.
