There are more billionaires in the world and they are increasingly rich, according to the latest ranking from Forbes magazine, published this weekend. According to the publication, there are now 2,781, 141 more than in 2023 and 26 more than the previous record, set in 2021.

In total, the combined fortune of this group of the richest is 14.2 billion dollars. This year, 265 new faces debuted at the rankingincluding Luxembourg businessman Michael Gans, 60 years old.

According to VIrgule, Gans has dual nationality, North American and Luxembourg, and his fortune is valued at 1.1 billion dollars, which places him in 2,545th place in the Forbes ranking.

The businessman holds a 25% stake in Supreme Group, which was the main supplier of food and water to the US army in Afghanistan.

Born in New York, Michael Gans currently resides in Baar, Switzerland. He has companies in Dublin, London, Luxembourg and Manchester, according to the businessman’s profile on Forbes, cited by Virgule.
