After two wobbly starts, Jesús Luzardo returned to sign a quality start this Friday and the Miami Marlins beat the Chicago Cubs 3-2.
The left-hander pitched 6 1/3 innings of just two runs on a home run by Nelson Velázquez and a single by Eric Hosmer. He walked a pair and struck out six.
65 of his 96 pitches were in the strike zone and his ERA improved to 3.48.
Although Luzardo left the game losing (2-1), Jean Segura was in charge of rescuing his work and became the hero of the fish. He tied it with a single in the seventh and grounded them in the ninth with a line drive up center.

Despite the fact that he could not get the victory, his presentation was an accolade, especially since in his last two presentations he had not managed to complete the five innings and in total he allowed seven runs.
In the end the victory went to AJ Punk (3), who withdrew the ninth scoreless from the Cubs. And the setback was at the expense of Michael Rucker.
