Luzón achieves the certification that opens the doors of the Chinese organic market

by time news

Bodegas Luzón has just achieved the demanding GB/T-19630 certificate that allows it to market its organic wines in the Asian giant thanks to compliance with the rigorous requirements related to the care of its natural environment and farmland, as well as the elimination of use of phytosanitary products and fertilizers.

In China, great interest in organic products has aroused, due to the constant and rapid socioeconomic development of the country’s population, as well as technological advances in agricultural production and changes in eating habits. The achievement of this seal, which only five wineries in Spain have achieved, has made Bodegas Luzón regulate its systems of production, processing, labeling and management of organic products for its grapes, the production and marketing of its organic wines.

All organic products marketed in China are subject to a higher degree of control and must be certified through an agency authorized by their government, in order to sell them as organic products. This certification joins those that the company already held, such as that of its organic wines by the CAERM (Murcia Region Council of Ecological Agriculture) since 2001 and the American organic certification NOP since 2004, quality recognitions that, added to Its ISO 14001 certificate and the “Wineries for climate protection” demonstrate the high commitment to the sustainability of its products and processes.
