14.4 million pines, 7.5 million spruces, 2.6 million birches and 542,000 black alder saplings, as well as 243 kilograms of pine seeds will be needed to restore the state’s forests to the planned extent, LVM representatives say, adding that LVM already in its seventh year the forest is also planted mechanically. Among them, almost 15% of the planned renewable area, or 1,216 hectares, will be mechanized this year, involving 12 units of machinery.
