The men’s Noah Lyles and the women’s Shericka Jackson won the 200m in Zurich. They were both reigning world champions in the distance.
American Noah Lyles and Jamaican Shericka Jackson dominated the 200m, a distance of which they are both reigning world champions, in the Diamond League final in Zurich (Switzerland) on Thursday.
Lyles largely won in 19 sec 52 at the end of the competition. The fourth best time of his career on the half-lap, the twelfth in history.

The American sprinter was half a second ahead of Canadian Aaron Brown and Dominican Alexander Ogando (20.02).
A little earlier, Jackson completed her race in 21 sec 80. Also the fourth best time of her career, for her who had come within eleven hundredths of the world record during the Worlds final in July ( 21.45).

The Jamaican also held off the competition by more than half a second, with Americans Gabrielle Thomas (22.38) and Tamara Clark (22.42) completing the podium.
