Lyn – Vålerenga: This is how public transport will be affected

by time news

On Saturday, the stage is set for a big game in the OBOS league when rivals Lyn and Vålerenga meet in front of a sold-out Ullevaal stadium.

This is the first time the teams have met in series since 2009.

Before the match, Vålerenga’s supporters will walk together from Bislett to the Ullevaal stadium. It will affect public transport, Ruter tells ABC Nyheter.

– The tram will be affected by the march up to Ullevål, but will hold back and be continuously delayed. The Ruter app is continuously updated, says spokesperson Øystein Dahl Johansen to ABC Nyheter.

He goes on to say that the subway runs with extra capacity before and after the match. Bus traffic is also affected.

– Bus lines 25 and 31 run in the area. Delays must be expected on these lines due to car traffic before the start of the match and crowd flows after the end of the match. Line 25 will run a detour route between Ullevål hospital and Tåsen from 15.00-18.00 and 19.45-21.00. Then there are six stops on the route that we will not be served, says Johansen.

He encourages those going to the match to allow plenty of time for the journey.

– Use the subway, it has the largest capacity.

The match starts at 18:00 on Saturday.
