Bangladesh won the 2nd ODI against Afghanistan by 88 runs to win the ODI series 2-0.

The Afghanistan team is touring Bangladesh and playing 3 ODI series and T20 series. First up is the one day series going on. Bangladesh won the first ODI by 4 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the second match today.

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first in the 2nd ODI. Bangladesh opener Lytton Das scored an impressive century. Tamim Iqbal (12) and Shakib Al Hasan (20) were out for short runs. Lytton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim combined for 202 for the 3rd wicket. Lytton Das, who played well and scored a century, was dismissed for 136. Mushfiqur Rahim was dismissed for 86 and missed the target by 13 runs. Bangladesh scored 306 runs in 50 overs.

Afghanistan opener Rahmat Shah, who chased down the target of 307, scored a superb fifty. Rahmat Shah scored 52 runs. In the middle order Najibullah Jatran scored a fine Audi fifty. But he too was bowled out for 54. Nabi (32) and Rashid Khan (29) were all out for 218 in the 46th over as none of the other batsmen played well.

Following this, Bangladesh won the ODI series 2-0 by 88 runs.
