Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Sheela, a member of the DMK’s central district attorney’s team, had lodged a complaint with the Trichy SP office demanding action against ex-DGP and former AIADMK MLA Natraj for spreading defamation about Stalin’s unspoken comments. Following this, the Trichy Cyber ​​Crime Police registered a case under seven sections against the former DGP Natraj.

DGP Nataraj filed a petition in the court seeking quashing of the cases registered against him. The petition came up for hearing before Justice Jayachandran. At that time, on Natraj’s side, it was reported that the same WhatsApp groups were defaming him and criticizing him with inappropriate words, but no action was taken against them.

Hearing this, Judge Jayachandran banned the police investigation. And, ‘If another crime occurs while investigating a complaint, will the police not take action until the complaint is lodged? He ordered that an explanation should be given about the allegation made by Natraj and adjourned the trial to 19th January 2024.

In that way, this petition came up for hearing yesterday (19th). Meanwhile, the case came up before Justice Anand Venkatesh on the rotation system of judges. Justice Anand Venkatesh then announced that he would recuse himself from hearing the case for personal reasons.

As Justice Anand Venkatesh has recused himself from hearing the case, the case will be listed before another judge.
