jpnn.comJAKARTA – Executive Director of Indo Barometer M Qodari said that the planned meeting between President-elect Prabowo Subianto and PDI-P General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri was hampered by the PDIP’s ambiguous attitude which gave two different signals.
According to Qodari, on the first hand, the opportunity for the two figures to meet is still wide open, according to the attitude shown by Puan Maharani, but on the other hand, it is actually blocked by Megawati herself.
“The opportunity is certainly very, very open, although actually today there were two messages that emerged from Teuku Umar (the residence of PDIP general chairman Megawati, ed.),” said Qodari, Saturday (13/4/2024).
Qodari quoted a report in one of the national print media regarding Mbak Puan meeting Prabowo in order to explore a meeting between the general chairman of Prabowo’s Gerindra Party and Megawati.
“However, on a different page there is an opinion article in the name of or written by Mrs. Megawati whose contents attack Mr. Jokowi,” said Qodari.
“I see that there is actually a possibility that Ms. Megawati or PDIP wants to form a coalition with Mr. Prabowo, but does not want Mr. Jokowi. “I see that is where the complexity or hassle lies,” said Qodari.
Qodari added that Jokowi and Prabowo are a team that cannot be separated.
Therefore, it seems that Megawati is not very happy with the harmonious relationship between the two.
