Brigadier General (Retd.) M Sakhawat Hossain, Advisor to Ministry of Textiles and Jute and Ministry of Shipping visited Bangladesh Land Port Authority and Directorate of Shipping at Agargaon in the capital.
After visiting the land ports on Thursday (September 5), he said that the country’s 24 land ports must be managed effectively. The sources of irregularities and corruption should be identified and action taken to resolve them quickly. He urged the officials to work with honesty and devotion.

After visiting the Directorate of Shipping, Advisor M Sakhawat Hossain emphasized on restoring order in the waterways. He said that an effective plan should be taken to ensure safe navigation.
