Racing Bulls and Williams pilots caused a lot of damage to the safety of the track with their accident, which led to a forced 30-minute break in the race. It is true that both pilots were not seriously injured, they later returned to the pits.

Leader Max Verstappen successfully held his own against his rivals during the second start as well.

During the race, several racers tried to challenge Sergio Perez. Still, he drove very solidly and nearly secured second place after passing Lando Norris on lap 35.

Carlos Sainz had another solid race, overtaking teammate Charles Leclerc at the end of the race and once again on the podium. In the end, Lando Norris did not match the speed of the Ferrari team and had to settle for fifth place.

Fernando Alonso calmly and confidently took 6th place and won 8 points. In the last lap, George Russell managed to overtake Oscar Piastrs and take 7th place.

The top ten was closed by Lewis Hamilton and Yuki Tsunoda, who won points in the second race in a row. Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll had ambitions to overtake the local driver, but ran out of time.

Apart from Ricciardo and Albon, Sauber’s Guanyu Zhou, who faced technical problems, did not finish the race.

The driver of the day was Charles Leclerc, who incredibly managed to manage with just one stop. He was the 4th.

The Alpine drivers had some positives this weekend, but the race brought them back to reality. Esteban Ocon was 15th and Pierre Gasly 16th. They were again overtaken by the Haas duo of Hulkenberg and Magnussen and Sauber’s Valtteri Bottas. At that time, Logan Sargeant had an incident during the race and had to settle for only 17th place.

After this victory, Max Verstappen once again pulled away from his pursuers in the general classification. Another Red Bull rider, Sergio Perez, returned to second place.

The next race of the season is again two weeks away. The teams will remain in Asia – the Chinese GP will begin. There, of course, will be the first sprint weekend of the season.
