A teacher from Ma’ale Adumim was arrested on suspicion of taking pictures of minors and adults in intimate situations in public toilets.
The police permitted the publication today (Wednesday) of the name of Avraham Avnaim (52), a resident of Ma’ale Adumim who works as a teacher at an educational institution in the city, who was recently arrested on suspicion of violating privacy and photographing with the permission of the individual. Yesterday, Avnaim’s detention was extended at the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court until Friday.
According to the findings of the investigation so far, Avnaim used to take videos on his cell phone of adults and minors in intimate situations in public restrooms in a mall in the city. He was arrested following complaints received at the Maale Adumim station.
Avnaim’s investigation is still in progress, and the court allowed the publication of the suspect’s name, for reasons of public interest and in order to locate more victims.
