jpnn.com – JAKARTA – The Indonesian National Team vs Australia match in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers for the Asian zone will be held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (10/9).
Indonesian National Team goalkeeper Maarten Paes admitted that he can’t wait to play for the first time at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium when the Garuda squad faces Australia.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper admitted that he wanted to hear the support songs from the Indonesian National Team supporters directly.
“I can’t wait to play there (SUGBK-ed), listening to the chants (supporting songs-ed) from the supporters,” said Paes in Jakarta, Sunday (8/9).
He emphasized that Indonesian supporters were extraordinary in providing support to the national team.
However, Paes admitted that he had only witnessed this on video.
“I saw some video clips and it was amazing, also how the fans sang Tanah Airku together after the match ended,” said Paes.
He also asked for full support from the supporters for the Indonesian National Team facing Australia. The players, he said, will give their best on the field.
