Have Maccabi Haifa become the extremist they have been looking for all summer? ONE first learned that Jamaican national team player Renaldo Spas who plays as a left winger is a candidate to join Barak Becher’s team.
The 24-year-old Jamaican belongs to his national team and made eight appearances in which he scored twice, including three appearances in the last Copa America. Spas belongs to Ankaragucu Turkey where he arrived in 2023 from Skopje, Macedonia. He is signed by the Turkish club until 2027. He started his career at Jamaica’s Arnett Gardens.
The player’s market value according to ‘Transmarket’ is 1.3 million euros. During his career he made 112 appearances in the various frameworks and scored 31 goals along with nine assists. One of his goals came in the Champions League qualifier. In the Turkish league he has three goals and three assists in 31 games.

The biggest game ever in Spas’ career was on July 13, 2023, when he scored four for Shkofi in a 0:5 win over Hagelman in the Conference Series.
In the last few days, Ankaragucu’s uncertainty regarding the “missing” player has been reported in Turkey. The club reported that it was unable to contact Spas, who did not take part in the final training sessions. Head coach Cihat Arslan expressed his concern and said that the team expected Spas to show up for their match against Sanliurfaspor, but it never happened.

“We don’t know where he is. We thought he would come to the stadium, but he didn’t,” said Arslan. In Turkey, they claimed: “The winger’s mysterious absence sparked widespread speculation on social media, with fans and commentators questioning his whereabouts. Despite appearing to be gone, the winger has posted a picture from the gym on his Instagram account with the caption “stay positive”, and posted a photo of himself finishing a workout.
