Today in the morning (Sunday) a bus driver was asked to stop for a routine check at the Maccabim checkpoint on Route 443.
The driver refused to be checked and continued driving to the end of the checkpoint where he stopped, got off the bus – and fled the scene.
Troops from Battalion 405, Ta’oz, and MGB fighters who secured the area, called a police saboteur to inspect the bus.
During the inspection of the saboteur, 30 infiltrators were found in the trunk of the bus.
The suspects were arrested and transferred to the Israel Police for further treatment.
The police point out that “thanks to the vigilance of the forces at the checkpoint, the infiltrators were prevented from entering the territory of the state.”
