The body of the train driver who shot a colleague to death at Estação da Luz was found today, on the Anhanguera Highway, in São Paulo, next to the motorcycle used in the escape from the crime. The police are investigating the circumstances of the death.

What happened:

The body of Ricardo de Oliveira Dias, 45, was located with a pistol used in the crime. Last Sunday (25), he shot at two colleagues at Estação da Luz, taking the life of one of them. The police work with the information that he was the target of bullying and that the fight would have started after an argument due to the work schedule.

“The police will investigate the causes of death. The investigation of the case has been closed. He was the author, he was identified and had the temporary arrest decreed. The idea was that he would be arrested, but he was found dead, which will now be clarified”, said the delegate responsible for the case, Maria Cecilia Castro Dias, in an interview with TV Globo. The death will be investigated by the São Simão Police Station.

The second CPTM employee shot in the incident remains under medical care. He was shot in the foot and taken to Sancta Maggiore Hospital.

The company’s Social Assistance is providing support to the relatives of the supervisor who died and accompanying the injured train driver. CPTM has several programs to encourage well-being, such as psychological evaluation and follow-up, which in the case of train drivers is annual and mandatory, in addition to the medical assistance plan with the right to psychological consultations.
