News from Angola – As part of modernization and a commitment to improving the well-being of passengers, Macon Transporte presented, last week at the Gamek interprovincial terminal in Luanda, the on-board television service, called Macon TV.

According to the statement that Notícias de Angola had access to today, the Chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Macon, Luís Máquina said that Macon TV will be seen on all buses that make the interprovincial route.

The official said that television has dynamic programming like the others, with national content to inform, educate and entertain the more than five thousand people who travel daily through the transport operator.

“With the Macon TV service, we will once again reinforce the communication of our social responsibility actions, supporting awareness campaigns in order to transform minds and save lives”, stated Luís Máquina.

On the other hand, the person responsible for managing and producing Macon TV, Lauro Cassule, made known the functionality of the onboard television and its editorial line. “It is a TV that will bet on and support national production from documentaries, music videos, films, among other creations by local producers”, he explains.

Founded in 2001, Macon Transporte currently has 124 buses on the urban route and 400 on the inter-provincial route, connecting 17 of the country’s 18 provinces. Beyond borders, it reaches neighboring Namibia, from Cunene.
