Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade brought together some famous faces for its 97th annual celebration, adding new balloons and showcasing some classic favorites. The host of the Today show, Savannah Guthrie, and her co-hosts, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker, kicked off the festivities with recognizable faces such as SpongeBob and Chase from “Paw Patrol.”
The parade also featured performances from legendary singer Cher, dancing from the Radio City Rockettes, and a special message from superstar Beyoncé. The parade also included performances by the Grammy-winning artist Jon Batiste, the cast of the Broadway musical “Back to the Future,” and singer Brandy, adding some musical excitement to the holiday event.
Another highlight of the parade was an appearance from President Joe Biden and the First Lady, Jill Biden, who shared a message of gratitude and optimism. According to President Biden, today is about “coming together, giving thanks to this country we call home and thanks to all the firefighters, police officers, first responders, and our troops, some are home or stationed abroad.”
