Madeleine McCann’s parents demonstrate after DNA test of young woman who claimed to be their daughter – News

Kate and Gerry McCann, parents of Madeleine McCan, issued a statement after the DNA test on the young woman who claimed to be their missing daughter came back negative.

Julia Wendell has become the headline of several vehicles in the last month after having gained several followers for claiming that she was the girl who disappeared while on vacation with her parents in Praia da Luz, in Portugal, in 2003.

Detective Fia Johannson, who has been assisting Julia with the search for her origins, said the DNA results had not been conclusively compared with Madeleine’s.

However, the investigator stated that the scans showed that she is “100% from Poland”, meaning that there is no possibility that she was the British girl.

In that connection, Kate and Gerry posted a statement in response to a question on the page they created in an attempt to find their daughter on Facebook.

“Is there any chance you can update us? There has been a lot of media about a girl claiming to be Maddie and DNA being done. Is it possible to let your followers know what’s going on […]?” asked one woman. “Our thoughts and prayers are always with the McCann family and the safe return of their precious daughter.”

Representatives of Madeleine’s parents, then, issued a statement last Tuesday (4) in which they state: “There is nothing to report at this time. If and when there is one, it will come from the Metropolitan Police.”

After the DNA results were received, Julia decided to return to Poland to be with her father.
